The INSZoom Immigration Conference (IIC) is less than two months away and the registrations are live! Are you ready to register for the biggest immigration conference? Or does your boss need some persuading to agree to send you to IIC 2017? The fact that IIC is synonymous to immigration and global mobility is not convincing enough? Is the targeted domain training and conference sessions really worth the cost and time away from your desk? The answers are yes and yes. Here are three ways that will help you prep up to convince your boss.

1. “IIC will help strengthen my immigration knowledge base. There are unlimited learning opportunities at IIC.”

Being away from your desk for half a day can be so tedious for the following days, let alone being away for 48 hours. We understand this. But, at the core of IIC are great learning opportunities. Day 1 (September 21) will be an entire day of domain training. If your work day is all about working on visa petitions globally, interacting with attorneys and checking immigration updates for the employees of your organization, then you cannot afford to miss this training. Global immigration trends, handling site visits and audits from ICE and DOL, global compensation and social security agreements, immigration compliance and many more topics will be covered on day 1. Get your real questions answered by industry experts and leverage the knowledge gained for your organization. This is invaluable! Oh and this training is difficult to find elsewhere.

2. “IIC has a structured networking platform.”

IIC is the biggest immigration event and this is your opportunity to make connections and share best practices. Whatever your company size, the IIC community is ready to share their knowledge, skills, best practices or even a IIC lunch with you. Connect and re-connect with your peers and learn more from their respective immigration workflows. IIC is designed to connect you to people you can learn from, both at the conference and after. There is so much knowledge you will take away with you. Day 2 (September 22) of the conference will be packed with speaker sessions, presentations, industry experts, thought leaders and valuable networking opportunities. The conference day will cover topics like global talent acquisition and mobility strategies, the Brexit effect on immigration, changes in the South African immigration program, global compensation and tax trends and much much more.

3. “We will be inspired to perform better”

Change starts with you, yes you! With a strong keynote every year, you will be inspired to engage and take back all the knowledge you gained at IIC to your organizations and bring change!

We’re psyched and counting days until we see you in Bengaluru, India on September 21-22, 2017. We believe that registration is your first step in your IIC journey and you want to get your boss on board ASAP! Come and join us for two coffee-packed days with unparalleled immigration education, thriving community and galaxy of speakers. INSZoom at AILA 2017!

AILA Annual Conference. To us at INSZoom, it is one of the most important thing we look forward to all year. The exhibition days are intensely satisfying as this is our opportunity to meet customers and prospects face-to-face as we welcome them to the INSZoom family. It’s not about closing deals, it’s about building valuable relationships with our existing and to-be customers and providing them with a comprehensive immigration case management software.

But, what were our top three takeaways from AILA 2017? Read on:

1. Content for every stage of immigration law

The post-AILA social media buzz and all the conversations we’ve had at AILA confirmed that whether a beginner in the immigration practice or a veteran, AILA 2017 covered content in every stage of immigration law through its 140 substantive sessions. Everything from non-immigrant visas, closing the gender gap in immigration law, risk management best practices for immigration lawyers to PERM filings, EB-5 basics and business immigration, AILA 2017 was a bank of knowledge for immigration attorneys.INSZoom-Immigration-Case-Management-Software Immigration has been a contested topic all year and now more than ever, immigration attorneys need support from technology to navigate through the complexities of immigration and its future. Becki Young, Partner at Hammond Young Immigration Law, LLC, rightly explained the importance of using an immigration law case management software at the session – ‘Immigration and Technology: The Final Frontier.’ Using technology is an inescapable part of practicing law today, making a case of the need of having an immigration law case management software like INSZoom which can be selected and customized specifically to one’s immigration practice.

2. A systematized networking platform

AILA 2017 gave a platform to attendees and exhibitors to meet face-to-face with each other. At INSZoom, we are firm believers in the value of growing relationships with customers and prospects at every opportunity. With over 17 years of experience in serving the immigration industry, we have made some strong relationships with our customer base.INSZoom-Immigration-Case-Management-Software Just like every year, we created the ‘famous INSZoom testimonial wall’ at the booth #207, where our clients willingly signed the wall and attested to INSZoom being the immigration law case management software of choice. The timing and the environment makes all the difference when it comes to meeting new prospects and AILA 2017 gave us just that!  We could speak to our current customers and gain more insights into their industry challenges and how we can develop new features into the INSZoom application to solve them. The response was overwhelming.

3. A commitment that stood out!

For INSZoom, the AILA Annual Conference has always been the most awaited and prestigious conference year after year. Our commitment to AILA stood out in many ways this year. We made strong relationships, we could establish the need of a comprehensive immigration case management software to prospects and honor the platform provided to us by AILA.

These were just the top three takeaways from AILA 2017, but every attendee we talked to had at least one significant takeaway. We believe in the intrinsic value of the event and the community we build through it.

INSZoom has been the technology partner of the immigration industry for over 17 years. We look forward to streamline your immigration and compliance needs with our cloud-based, easy-to-use immigration case management software. Why Everyone Should Attend the Power User Conference

posted by: Natalia Burris date: Nov 20, 2015 Events, News comments: Comments Off on Why Everyone Should Attend the Power User Conference
PUC-2016_Banner-Image[2] INSZoom is busy planning for another great conference.  The Power User Conference will be held in San Ramon, CA on January 22, 2016.  As we head into the holidays and many of us try and stay focused while dreaming of Turkeys and Holiday Cheer I wanted to take a few minutes and remind everyone why attending industry conferences is such a good idea for both career and business.  The cost to attend is minimal to the benefits that are obtained when new things are learned and inspiring ideas are shared.
  1. To learn from and to be motivated by other power users.
      1. It is very easy to continue to sit at your desk every day doing the exact same thing in the exact same way. We all tend to become creatures of habit and when a new hire asks “why do we do it like that” the common response is “because we have always done it this way”.  Don’t get stuck in the same rut.  Attending power user conferences allows you to see how others are using the system and powerful best practices are exchanged.  If you work for a small firm is it possible that your firm is not able to afford a system administrator or power user.  You would be amazed at the ingenuity of these super stars and you should come learn from them!

  2. Find solutions to your problems.
      1. If you are struggling with how to solve a problem it is possible others did too at some point and they found a solution! We are all very busy these days and case work and clients come first.  Often, there is simply no time to sit and brain storm on how to solve a problem and limited system knowledge can be a hindrance.  The best solution I found to a problem came from another power user at an INSZoom Power User Conference.  I was in the audience listening to how another large firm found a solution to capturing data.  This was a big problem for us in Global Immigration as we required our employees to enter specific info into specific fields but our employees were inconsistent in entering the data.  The solution? Create an internal questionnaire that is pinned to a foreign national’s profile!  This was a huge light bulb moment and saved our company hundreds of man hours ($$) and a lot of pain.

  3. Form relationships that will lead to strategic alliances, joint ventures and referrals.
      1. Contrary to popular belief, very few people walk away from hours spent at a conference with a fistful of contacts. Many of our clients are in the same business and possibly competing for the same work but you never know when the person sitting next to you might become your next strategic alliance.  Maybe you have clients who are looking for support with a certain work permit type or assistance with a country where you don’t offer services.  If you want to retain your client you will need to find a way to make them happy by either finding a partner or being able to provide them with a referral.

  4. Stay current on technology trends in the immigration industry.
      1. Attending networking events allows you to glean information about current and future trends. What does the future hold for technology?  What are clients demanding and what changes are coming to stay aligned with these demands?  Staying on top of technology trends helps you to better plan for your future, resources and initiatives.

  5. To socialize.
      1. The world of immigration is a unique one where a lot of the work can be done from home offices. Attorneys, paralegals, case managers and power users can work from home.  This is especially true in corporate based immigration where the company might be located 5 states away and they never set foot in your office.  With technology, the internet, FedEx, UPS, and USPS you can process cases from home and never see your clients in person!  As more and more people balance work and life it is vital to our wellbeing that we get out and socialize.  We need to recharge our batteries.  We need to be inspired.  We need to socialize!
